Titans coming to their senses?
Are the Tennessee Titans coming to their senses when it comes to RB Chris Johnson?

The Tennessean newspaper is reporting that the Titans and Johnson are discussing possibilities to pay Johnson more money this season and then possibly work out a new longer term deal down the road. The story reports that the Titans are looking into taking a 2.5 million dollar escalator in Johnson’s contract and applying it to his 2010 salary in the form of a signing bonus. The 2.5 million would be added to the base salary of 550,000 Johnson is slated to earn this season. Johnson told reporters, “The money that I’m playing for, I am getting paid less than the starting 11 and I’m one of the lowest paid running backs in the league”.
While this may not be the huge payday that Johnson was looking for, it is at least a step in the right direction for the two parties. The Titans have to realize that Johnson must be on the field starting in week 1.
Chris Simms, one toke over the line……

The troubles continue for the Tennessee Titans this offseason, now Chris Simms has been arrested. The spleen-less left hander has been arrested for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of marijuana. Simms reportedly drove into a police checkpoint in Manhattan New York. Police officials said he smelled of pot and had admitted of smoking earlier in the evening. Somewhere Ricky Williams is smiling.
This has certainly been a chaotic off season for the Titans.
