Higher Power sends message to Titans
A Higher Power has sent a message to the Titans, a sinkhole. The sinkhole is estimated to be 5 feet deep and about 30 feet wide and is located 40 feet from the stadium. Most likely a result of the flooding the area suffered two months ago. The flooding reached into LP Field and caused approximately 3 million dollars in damage.
Perhaps there is a message from a power telling the Titans that they should get busy on re-signing Chris Johnson or their season will resemble a large sinkhole.
Fisher jokes about Johnson
Apparently Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher doesn’t watch ESPN. On a recently aired interview on ESPN, holdout running back Chris Johnson stated he wants to play for 30-40 million in guaranteed money. Reporters questioned Fisher about Johnson’s request and he responded by saying “so would I.”
When reporters questioned Fisher further about the running back he responded, “He is under contract. I am not going into my relationship with him, whether I have talked to him or not. It is something I feel we’ll eventually workout.”
Fisher had better hope it gets worked out because if the Titans don’t have Johnson in the backfield in 2010, it might be a very long season for him and the team.
Chris Johnson isn’t a running back

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson doesn’t think of himself as a running back. “I’m an offensive player“, Johnson told ESPN Monday. Johnson said that he wants 30-40 million guaranteed from the Titans and said that the Titans have offered nothing yet. Johnson became the 6th back in history to rush for 2,000 yards last year but no player has ever repeated that accomplishment.
This situation is not looking good for the back scheduled to make 550,000.00 in 2010. With the problems surrounding Titans QB Vince Young, and the contract dispute Johnson has could spell for a long season for the Titans. Even the coaching staff is now concerned with Johnson missing so much time away from camp.
Johnson silent about plans for 2010
Tennessee Titans’ RB Chris Johnson is remaining silent about his intentions for the 2010 season. Johnson has skipped all off season workouts and was non committal to reporters about his plans. When asked about if he plans to hold out until he gets a new contract, Johnson replied, “No comment.”

Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt told reporters that he expects Johnson to “honor his contract” with no plans for a new contract on the horizon. I usually don’t side on the players position regarding signed contracts, but Johnson had a spectacular season in 2009 and the lifespan for a running back you touches the ball as many times as Johnson did last year is greatly reduced. If Chris Johnson sits out 2010, expect Tennessee to have a top 10 draft choice in 2011.
Vince Young busted for assault
Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young found out that nothing good seems to come from NFL players visiting strip clubs. Young was charged with misdemeanor assault after an altercation at a strip club called Club Onyx.
ESPN has provided surveillance video from the club showing the altercation between Young and the victim named Creiton Kinchen. View the video right here.
According to ESPN Young punched the victim after Kinchen insulted Young and his alma mater, the University of Texas.
Young is slated to attend mandatory minicamp this morning.
